ŌTARA 4.0

A community initiative in digital capacity building that was co-founded by I.M-S Arts, Ali Cowley and Andrew Tui. In 2022, a successful 5-part series of creative tech workshops was delivered in partnership with Media Design School. In 2023, ŌTARA 4.0 co-led the Te Puke o Taramainuku Kahui Ako STEAM Fest alongside local school Principals. Te Puke ō Taramainuku Kāhui Ako STEAM Festival

The Ōtara Kāhui Ako STEAM festival inspired almost 500 ākonga and their whānau to explore cutting edge technologies and make career pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics more accessible to their community.
IMS Arts, Ōtara 4.0 worked closely with Ministry of Education Community Liaisons to successfully apply for funding to accomplish this for the Ōtara community.
